Movie Review: GARDISH (1993)

Well, yesterday I watched this movie. I was expecting quite a lot from the movie because the name is so impressive.
Cast includes- Jackie Shroff,Amrish Puri, Asrani,Farida Jalal, Dimpl Kapadia etcetcetc
This is basically a story which we might have heard a lot of times. A simple and humble guy with holding his dignity gets into some troubles due to some antisocial elements and looses the respect and love of his policeman father who has great expectations from him.Circumstances make him notorious like a don and he ends up in becoming a criminal from legal points of view.

What I would like to write here is my experience with it.
The story is not at all new for us at this stage.Since the movie was made in early 90's (which is suppose to be a bad period in bollywood) I would call the story to be just ok type.The things shown in it are good enough but they actually can be made much better.More than half of the movie is spent in just casual type of screenplay which is not of much importance.
As a viewer, you may have some expectation arising in the heart when you are watching it, but seriously, that may go all in vain. So dont expect much from the movie.
Music is given by great RD Burman, so I wont comment on that.
Almost all the actors have been honest on their part.But the movie lacks the pinch of sensitivity for the topic it concerns.
Still, for passing the time, I would suggest you can watch it if only you put aside your mind and dont have anything else better to do.
